Ron Berger will be the guest speaker for this meeting.

Ron has had a lifelong interest in conservation and specifically in turtles. In Oregon, he served for many years on the Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy. After relocating to California, Ron joined the Board of Directors of The Desert Tortoise Preserve Committee, which manages the Desert Tortoise Research Natural Area (DTRNA) and has served as its President since 2013. Ron also established The Desert Tortoise Conservancy in Palm Springs in 2012. He will be making a presentation on both of these organizations.
